How to measure for a Radiator Cover
To use our assisted measuring service, simply send us a clear photo of one of your radiators on WhatsApp.
Standing back when taking the picture is essential to see the surrounding space and any potential obstructions that may affect the positioning of the cabinet. Once we receive your photo, our team of experts will review it and guide you through how to measure your radiator accurately.
Grab your tools:
- Tape measure: For capturing all things dimensional!
- Pencil and paper: To jot down those vital numbers.
- Book: This can help keep things accurate.
We understand that you may have questions or concerns during the process, so our team will be available to answer any questions and advise on the best covers for your needs. Whether you need help selecting the right colour or material or want to ensure that the cover provides adequate ventilation, we’re here to help.
Our assisted measuring service is completely free, fast, and convenient. It’s another way we’re working to provide you with the best possible experience when shopping for radiator covers. So why not give it a try today? Please message us on WhatsApp, and let us help you get the perfect covers for your home.

Measure the Radiator Width
When measuring the width of your radiator, include the valves and any extra pipes in your measurements. We want the valves inside the cabinet for a neater installation. The front of our cabinets open, so radiators and valves are easily accessible once the cabinet is fitted. Feel free to include sockets, cables or anything else you’d prefer to be inside the cabinet! The website will show the cabinet width underneath the radiator width.
TOP TIP;
Exaggerate the width of your radiator if you’d like the cabinet to be longer than required. This helps gain symmetry in a room.

Measure Radiator Height
When measuring the radiator height, be sure to measure from the floor. The only exception is when ordering one of our floating radiator cabinets when you should measure from the top of the skirting board.
If you have any obstructions above the radiator, like a window sill or dado rail, please let us know the maximum cabinet height on the notes section (payment page). We can lower the cabinet height and even thin the top on the inside for very restricted spaces.
You will notice on our website we provide the cabinet height underneath when you enter the radiator height. Please ignore this if you have a specific height requirement.

Measure Radiator Depth
When measuring the radiator depth, measuring from the back wall to the part of the radiator that’s furthest forward is critical. You will see the cabinet depth populate underneath. Please be aware this includes the overhang of the cabinet top (traditional & mirror cabinets). The main body cabinet depth will be 2cm less than this. The cabinet depth allows for a 3-4cm air gap to let the radiator breathe, the thickness of the front panel and grille (3cm), and the top overhang.
Again, if you have a restriction in terms of depth, please let us know in the notes section (payment page), and we will adapt the design and reduce the depth accordingly.
TOP TIP!
Please be aware that valves or pipes can protrude past the face of the radiator, so it is very important to include these in the depth measurement.
